Features
Special Notes- Formerly an infamous police impound lot and small 40 spot parking lot for the City of Toronto
- BuildToronto (the City of Toronto's real estate development agency) made the site available in January 2009 and originally planned for 50 Storey's
- On 11/21/2011 Build Toronto and Tridel announced a JV to build the 75 Storey Tower
- Construction expected to start 2015 and expected to be completed 2018
- Total construction cost estimated to be $110 million
- 344 parking spots
- Podium will be a flatiron style
- Site is a similar style to Panorama by Concord Adex with its irregular shape and proximity to the Gardiner expressway
- Traffic noise and dust will be an issue to the units facing north on low floors
- Area is part of the highest density corners in North America = some North/South and East views will be blocked for low floor units
- Being close to the Gardiner guarantees a view corridor for units facing West
- Building is not expected to be connected to the PATH
- In lieu of no PATH conenction there will be an above ground weather protection system being designed as part of the podium that will end at Maple Leaf Square (runs along York St)
- "The design also features inset balconies (which feel safer at very high heights)" - Rudy Wallman.
